Yesterday, Gov. Evers also announced an additional $25 million investment to support the Main Street Bounceback grant program, bringing the governor’s total investment to $100 million. This investment will ensure that there is funding available to help a total of 10,000 small businesses.

Thanks to the Main Street Bounceback program, more than 6,200 small businesses have opened or expanded into vacant storefronts across all 72 counties.

Small businesses and family farms are the backbone of Wisconsin’s economy, and in communities across the state, small businesses ranging from flower shops to local bars and restaurants are benefiting from Gov. Evers’ common sense leadership. During his first term, our state’s unemployment rate reached historic lows and the labor force participation rate is in the top 10 in the nation. With Gov. Evers’ leadership, Wisconsin is on track to becoming the economic powerhouse of the Midwest.

Gov. Evers plans to continue supporting small businesses in his Doing the Right Thing Agenda here.
