Gov. Tony Evers is doing the right thing for Sauk County and all of Wisconsin. Under his leadership, 27 Sauk County small businesses have opened their doors or expanded and Sauk County businesses have received an additional 1,633 grants to help pay bills, stock shelves, hire employees, and more. He has also followed through on his promise to expand high-speed internet access by investing $8,499,300 in Sauk County projects alone, extending internet access to more than 2,323 residential locations and over 107 businesses. Across Wisconsin, Gov. Evers continues to deliver results. 86% of Wisconsinites have received a 15% income tax cut or more, unemployment is at historic lows, and our schools are ranked among the top 10 in the nation. Gov. Evers has brought Republicans and Democrats together to do the right thing for communities and families in Sauk County, and he’s just getting started.
In November 2021, Gov. Evers stopped by the H.H. Bennett Studio in Wisconsin Dells, one of the Wisconsin Historical Society’s 11 interactive sites, to present a $1 million check to the Wisconsin Dells Visitor and Convention Bureau as part of the governor’s $15 million investment in local tourism organizations across the state.
Gov. Evers visited the Spring Green Preserve State Natural Area in Sauk Countyto discuss the importance of stewardship and protecting the environment in order to ensure that Wisconsin’s beautiful outdoor spaces are preserved for future generations to study and enjoy.
