Gov. Tony Evers is doing the right thing for Manitowoc County and all of Wisconsin. Under his leadership, 40 Manitowoc County small businesses have opened their doors or expanded and Manitowoc County businesses have received an additional 1,366 grants to help pay bills, stock shelves, hire employees, and more. Across Wisconsin, Gov. Evers continues to deliver results. 86% of Wisconsinites have received a 15% income tax cut or more, unemployment is at historic lows, and our schools are ranked among the top 10 in the nation. Gov. Evers has brought Republicans and Democrats together to do the right thing for communities and families in Manitowoc County, and he’s just getting started.

Gov. Evers delivers for Manitowoc County

Gov. Evers, along with local leaders, announced the official designation of the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary, making it one of only two designated national marine sanctuaries of its kind in the nation. This designation will protect 36 historically significant shipwrecks, safeguarding Wisconsin’s maritime history so that it can be studied and enjoyed for generations. 

Gov. Evers visited the Port of Manitowoc to celebrate the completion of a crane that will not only support existing jobs but create new jobs.

Gov. Evers visited Manitowoc County in July 2021 to visit Henning’s Wisconsin Cheese, a recipient of 2021 Dairy Processor Grant funding provided through the governor’s 2019-21 budget, and hear from the Henning family how they used the funding to support purchasing new packing equipment.
