Press Releases ICYMI: Gov. Evers Kicks Off “Doing the Right Thing” Tour

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Governor Tony Evers, State Representative and candidate for Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriguez, Attorney General Josh Kaul, and Democratic candidates up and down the ballot kicked off the first day of the “Doing the Right Thing” tour yesterday with stops in Madison, Stevens Point, Appleton, and Milwaukee.

Gov. Evers also launched his Doing the Right Agenda, with his plans to keep doing the right thing for Wisconsinites, from protecting reproductive rights and our democracy to funding our schools and supporting small businesses.

Gov. Evers and State Rep. Rodriguez started the day over breakfast at Monty’s Blue Plate Diner in Madison.

In Stevens Point, Gov. Evers, State Rep. Rodriguez, and A.G. Kaul were joined by State Sen. Brad Pfaff, the winner of Tuesday’s 3rd CD Democratic primary, and State Rep. Katrina Shankland.

The “Doing the Right Thing” Tour continued in Appleton, where Gov. Evers highlighted his record of doing the right thing for Wisconsin, including cutting income taxes for the middle class by 15 percent, fixing our roads and bridges, expanding high-speed internet access, increasing funding for our schools, and supporting small businesses and family farms.

And in Milwaukee, the first day of the tour came to a close with Wisconsin Democrats gathering for a Unity Rally at the Deer District with Gov. Evers, State Rep. Rodriguez, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, Lieutenant Governor and candidate for U.S. Senate Mandela Barnes, A.G. Kaul, and Congresswoman Gwen Moore.

Gov. Evers’ “Doing the Right Thing” tour will continue today and Friday with stops all across Wisconsin.
