Roads across Wisconsin are set to see improvements.
Governor Tony Evers announced $35 million worth of funding for 40 infrastructure projects throughout the state Tuesday. The money comes from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Tuesday’s announcement marked the first round of local funding provided by the law and will target rural areas along with urban areas with less than 50,000 people. This is the first of five years worth of funds coming from the BIL.
Officials said another $25 million in BIL funding will be announced for areas with populations greater than 50,000 people in the coming weeks.
